I moved to London in 2012 in my previous guise as a sports journalist, covering the London Olympics and the Euros for Touchline Publishing. After realising that Wednesday night trips up the Burton Albion to produce 50-word write-ups on 0-0 draws wasn’t my true calling, I sidestepped into e-commerce and marketing copywriting, first with Buyagift.com, then VOGA.
At 25, I was appointed Head of Content at the 4media Group. As one of London’s youngest content chiefs, I headed-up all editorial copy, creative and design for 4mediarelations, Stature PR, Atomik Research and News Data Network. I worked with brands and agencies alike to produce creative PR and insight campaigns for the likes of Rockstar Games, Nationwide Building Society and L’Oréal. I founded the editorial production arm of the business, producing white paper reports for some of the UK’s top brands.
In 2017 I co-founded Fall of Man, a full service brand storytelling agency. It was here that I took all the expertise I’d gained on the delivery side of PR, marketing and brand and channelled it into building strong client relationships. Heading up sales and liaison, I developed a client list in Year One that included Knight Frank, MUFG Bank and the Markettiers Group. In our first year, we generated more than £300k in turnover and crafted engaging, penetrative campaigns across PR, brand delivery, design, podcasting and editorial production.
